RedAid Nigeria (RAN) and Initiative for Prevention and Control of Diseases (IPCD) organized a training for lay councilors to be trained on how to handle mental health and substance dependency cases within Keffi LGA and Nasarawa-Eggon LGA. The training took place in Keffi LGA and Nasarawa-Eggon LGA between 6^th and 11^th July 2023.

The activity witnessed a huge success as one of the counsellors testify that; “since he started attending trainings, he has never witnessed such an interesting training that have to do with life saving of their community members”. He pointed out to the fact that; MH/SD is one of the greatest challenges amongst the youths in their community. The counsellors promised to put in their best throughout the period of the project. TB REACH team from IPCD who attended the training include; Dr. Charles Esekhaigbe – Program Manager who also served as the facilitator, Mr. Nyiam Johnson – Finance Officer, Ms. Chinenye Ezoefoh – Program Support Officer and Hosea Ali Tanko – Project Driver.
