Initiative for Prevention and Control of Disease (IPCD) held her annual General meeting at Dannic Hotels Enugu on 3rd June 2022. Members who were physically present included Dr. Joseph N. Chukwu (Member IPCD Board of trustees), Dr. Chijioke Osakwe (President, IPCD), Mrs. Ekezie Eugenia (IPCD Imo State Coordinator), Dr. Ochuenwike  Edith (Anambra State Coordinator), Mrs. Anne Adzufeh (Lagos State Coordinator/Media and Publicity), Mr. Eze Samuel (Enugu State Coordinator), Mr. Anyasi Kingsley (Admin/Finance IPCD), Dr. Anthony Meka (Member IPCD), Dr. Ukwaja Kingsley (Member IPCD) and Mr.Okafor Daniel (Member IPCD). Those who attended virtually included Dr. Mustapha Gidado (Member IPCD Board of trustees), Prof. Ngozi Ifebunandu(Member),  Dr. Okey Madukwe (Abia State Coordinator), Dr. Chimhurumnaya Alo (Ebonyi state Coordinator) and Mrs. Maureen Akunwafor (Member).

The President gave an update on important developments that took place in the NGO in 2021 and the financial activities of the NGO. He informed the members that the NGO is currently implementing the following projects:

1. KNCV PPM TB-LON in Nasarawa State
2. The ARFH Global Fund TB active case search and Community Programmatic Management of Drug-Resistant TB (C-PMDT) in Nasarawa State
3. The Specimen referral project in Anambra and Enugu States
4. The NACA Global Fund RSSH project in Nasarawa State.

Plans for the future of the organization were discussed, especially on how to attract grants for the NGO. The members present at the meeting pledged their commitment to the success of the NGO.
