IPCD organized a free medical outreach in Umuoji town of Idemili North LGA, Anambra State. During the outreach, free medical consultations were provided to community members. Adult community members were screened for various diseases especially hypertension, diabetes mellitus, tuberculosis and other diseases. Free treatment was given to persons needing drug treatment. An optometrist was also available to screen community members for various eye problems. Those with serious eye conditions were referred to hospitals for further treatment and those minor ones were treated with eye drops, eye ointments and medications. Community members with refractive errors were provided with eyeglasses. A total of 35 glasses were given out.
